Week 4: Starts And Sits

Starts and sits for week 4 are back and we’re starting to get some nice sized sample sizes to make it a little easier to make these decisions. Starting next week we are getting our first taste of Bye Weeks which will make this article a little more important. I will be adding some streamers to each article after this to make some of the bye week losses a little better. I hope this article helps you.

You can always hit us up on Twitter @TheUpsidePlay with your questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Week 4 Starts Of The Week

Daniel Jones vs Seahawks

I know he had a terrible week 3 but that SF Defense makes life hell for QB’s. This week Jones goes up against a Seahawks defense who gives up about 23 points to QBs and didn’t have much success against QBs who can run last season.  The Seahawks defense is also bottom 3 in Fantasy points to WRs and Bottom 10 in RB receiving yards and receptions. Jones has a pretty Clear path to a top 12 finish this week.

Roschon Johnson vs Broncos

I’ll start by saying that this is a deeper start. I’m not saying that Roschon Johnson is a top 10 back this week but I do view him as a solid option for those who are still without Ekeler or those who have RB’s in tough matchups like Brian Robinson, Breece Hall, and Dameon Pierce. Johnson has seen his snap count increase every week and he actually out produced Herbert in week 3. The Bears offense is awful but Johnson is seeing some encouraging usage in the passing game and in a matchup against a not-so-good Broncos Defense, this could be the week we see Johnson take the lead in Chicago’s backfield.

Gabe Davis vs Dolphins

The Over/Under for this game is 53.5 points. The Miami Dolphins have an explosive offense that can score on any play from scrimmage. The Bills are going to need to get everyone involved outside of Diggs and they have done a nice job of incorporating Davis so far this season. The Bills best deep ball receiver has 2 TDs already on the year and has shown that he can be a reliable option for Josh Allen. This game projects to be in a shootout and I want as many pieces to this game as possible.

Tyler Higbee at Colts

Tyler Higbee signed a new contract during the week and is seeing an uptick in usage as of late with 12 targets over the last two weeks. Stafford and the Rams are playing much better than expected and Higbee being a nice option underneath has proven to be valuable for LA. Higbee is one of the few lower tiered TE’s to have a high non-TD floor due to the target volume.

Week 4 Sits Of The Week

Sam Howell at Eagles

He’s playing Philadelphia. He'd be lucky to get 10 points in 6 pt TD leagues after what we saw the Bills do to Howell last week. The QB streamers have to find other options like Matthew Stafford, CJ Stroud, or even Kenny Pickett.

Any Baltimore Ravens Running Back at Browns

This is a murky situation. Melvin Gordon got 10 carries last week with Edwards and Hill nursing injuries but both are expected to play again this week and the Browns have a great run defense. Those who spent up on Gus or Hill on waivers after Dobbins went out should find other options this week.

Hollywood Brown at 49ers

Hollywood is questionable to play but reports out of Arizona are saying that he’s expected to play. Even with him playing he should be on your bench. The Cardinals have been a very scrappy team so far but SF is just different. That pass rush will get to Dobbs and make it very difficult to get Hollywood the ball.

Hunter Henry at Cowboys

Henry seemed like he was going to be the diamond in the rough TE add but put up a stinker in week 3 and is going against a Dallas D who is giving up the least amount of points to TE’s so far. I would play guys like Jake Ferguson or Donald Parham over Henry.
